WHO WE ARE

Formed in 2013, Hot Peppers WI is a vibrant group of around 45 ladies meeting in Upton-upon-Severn. Our members span all age-groups, from their 20s to 80s – all linked by common interests and having fun!

WHAT WE LOVE

Becoming a member of Hot Peppers WI means being surrounded by interesting, enthusiastic women enjoying talks, activities, events and fundraisers, making friends and having a laugh. We vary our meeting programme to include something for everyone – whether that’s demonstrations of Morris dancing, flower arranging or tai chi, talks on history, wildlife and gardening, advice on health and exercise or having a go at life drawing! We love to craft, holding competitions at Easter and Christmas that everyone of any ability can join in, as we learn from each other. Our ladies also love outings. We’ve recently enjoyed a visit to Buckingham Palace, a tour of Malvern Theatres, a show and dinner in Birmingham, a trip to the John Moore Museum, and competed in a skittles evening. We’re also proud that our WI is fully funded by hard work and enthusiasm at local events throughout the year, such as The Upton Blues Festival, Christmas Fayre and village fêtes. We love to get involved in the community and are always up for doing something different.

WHY JOIN US

Hot Peppers WI is all about being inspired at any age. Your first meeting is free, with no obligation to join. Come and visit us!

WHO WE ARE

Queenhill & District is a small, traditional, friendly WI with more than 90 years of history… and many more wonderful years in store! Do come along to be part of our future achievements.

WHAT WE LOVE

Our motto of cheerfulness, straightforwardness and kindness is evident in everything we do. We’re lucky enough to have our own, fully accessible hall in Queenhill, south of Upton-upon-Severn, where each month we welcome a guest speaker, hold a competition related to their topic, and enjoy a raffle & afternoon tea. We run a monthly lunch club which is always well attended, as well as a weekly art club for our creative members. For our June meeting we usually arrange an annual trip, which this year was a tour and lunch at Ralph Court Gardens. Another highlight of our calendar is our own produce show held every other year, where Queenhill & District WI members can show off their skills in crafts, cookery, gardening, art & photography!

WHY JOIN US

If you’re a woman looking for plenty to do and excellent company in our rural corner of Worcestershire, we’re looking for you! Hope to see you soon.
