WHO WE ARE
Here at Ipsley WI you can enjoy convenient afternoon meetings, warm friendship and a varied mix of activities as part of our large, thriving group in a quiet parish of Redditch.

WHAT WE LOVE
We always enjoy our chatty, relaxed monthly meetings, where we welcome a varied programme of speakers ranging from Mary Quant fashion, signing lessons and making chocolate to how to make a hat to match your outfit for a wedding! One of our group makes jewellery & pottery, and several of us knit baby clothes for our local hospitals. We also love getting out and about together. Recent outings have included visits to our local theatre, coach trips to various venues, and buying plants from a local nursery with advice from their horticulturist. The occasional game of skittles, followed by a buffet by one of our members, is always great fun. Our ‘trading table’ is very popular too… some of the items collected can be eye opening!

WHY JOIN US
As a very diverse group, it’s so interesting to have a natter over tea and listen to each other’s’ stories! Our meetings are light-hearted, so it’s easy to take part in any discussions. And as an afternoon group, we’re perfect for those who prefer to meet up during the day!

WHO WE ARE
Formed in 1937, Kington with Dormston WI is a small, thriving, rural afternoon group, with a packed programme of events and activities to share with you.

WHAT WE LOVE
Meeting up every month is always a highlight, with our recent programme of speakers covering topics from Commonwealth war graves to hearing dogs. We often have the chance to try new activities too, like needle felting. Social time afterwards is a much-appreciated chance to mingle, so our meetings always end with cake and hot drinks! As our WI serves several villages, we take an active part in community enterprises, as well as supporting a variety of local organisations reflecting different interests. Our walking group, ‘Trotters’, is very popular, with members taking turns to lead evening walks through the summer months. As a member you’ll also be able to join in with a wide selection of visits, courses and social events.

WHY JOIN US
We may be few in number, but we have so many diverse experiences to share. No wonder the WI is for ‘Inspiring Women’! Hope you can join us.
