WHO WE ARE
Mamble cum Bayton WI is a small village group in a lovely rural location, with around 20 members hailing from a wide area. We are always looking to recruit new faces and bring in new ideas.

WHAT WE LOVE
The character of Mamble cum Bayton WI, which we’re proud to say has been going since 1917, is best described as friendly and welcoming! Our members particularly enjoy socialising, learning from a wide range of speakers at our monthly meetings as well as visiting new places. Although we don't have any sub-groups at the moment, our village hall organises lots of events which we attend and/or help out at, such as ‘chairobics’, coffee mornings, afternoon teas and craft groups. In the last 12 months we’ve also visited Coventry Cathedral, enjoyed a delicious French breakfast together, attended an afternoon tea at our President's home, organised a local walk with a quiz and much more.

WHY JOIN US
If you love doing, learning, talking and socialising, you’ll fit in well at Mamble cum Bayton WI! If you think you might enjoy it, please do come along to one of our meetings where you’ll receive a warm welcome.

WHO WE ARE
Menith Wood WI is a small, rural, friendly and caring daytime WI with just over 20 members. If you’d like to join, you’ll find a warm welcome!

WHAT WE LOVE
Our yearly programme of 12, afternoon monthly meetings always includes a variety of guest speakers and interesting topics. In addition, we often arrange informal, ‘WI Extra’ get-togethers mid-month at one of our favourite local cafés, enabling us to get to know one another better. As a WI, we’re particularly interested in playing an active role in the local community. In 2024 for example, we put on an Italian-themed lunch; and in June we held a special tea to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day. These events were very popular, well supported, and enabled us to make donations to local charities. We also took part in the Big Green Week by organising a neighbourhood litter pick. We’re very much looking forward to celebrating our group’s Silver Anniversary in 2025!

WHY JOIN US
You’ll find so much to do and enjoy as part of Menith Wood WI. We meet in two local halls – one in winter, the other in summer – each with good facilities, and easy access for anyone with limited mobility. We’re looking forward to seeing you!
