WHO WE ARE

Martley Pippins WI is a small(ish) group of 27 members, ranging from ladies in their 40s to 101! We are friendly and supportive … and we’d love to meet you.

WHAT WE LOVE

One of the lovely things about being a member of Martley Pippins WI is that you can be at the heart of year-round fun and friendship, even in this quiet corner of Worcestershire. There is always a varied programme of events at our monthly meetings throughout the year. In the past few months we’ve held a fun quiz and curry night at a local pub, learned about staying safe online with a cyber security expert, been treated to a luxurious pamper night with a consultant from Temple Spa, and made quite a noise at an exciting African drumming and percussion workshop... to name but a few examples. Many of us have particular interests in crafts and cookery, taking a stall at our village Christmas fayre and supporting other local events. We also arrange some activities further afield, including regular coffee mornings and occasional theatre trips together.

WHY JOIN US

Here at Martley Pippins WI there is always something interesting, inspiring or challenging to do, in excellent company. All visitors are most welcome!

WHO WE ARE

Whitbourne WI is small but perfectly formed! Playing an active part in village life since 1934, our afternoon group comprises mostly older members – and together we enjoy a packed programme of interesting activities.

WHAT WE LOVE

At Whitbourne WI our meetings are a monthly highlight, combining information, education and entertainment. As well as welcoming local speakers and demonstrators covering a wide range of topics, we often try to include some physical activity. A particular favourite has been indoor Kurling – a game that can be adapted to suit any mobility. Some of our members also go swimming together regularly. We can take advantage of other outings too. There is at least one visit each year to a local open garden, or the stunning confetti farm near Evesham; and we love to meet up at a local carvery to enjoy a meal together. Each May we arrange a delicious afternoon tea (to which we all contribute) in the garden of one of our members, weather permitting. Cookery and flower arranging are also much enjoyed – and we’ve been lucky to find a local couple with links to France and Greece, who have given us very enjoyable and tasty demonstrations in recent years!

WHY JOIN US

If you’d like to do something new every month (or more), forge new friendships and enjoy life to the full, Whitbourne WI could be for you. Why not come along to one of our meetings and find out more?
