WHO WE ARE
Pearls of Wythall WI is a large group of young-at-heart women who meet in Wythall… and we’re looking to increase our membership still further!

WHAT WE LOVE
There is so much to look forward to as a member of Pearls of Wythall WI. We enjoy such a variety of entertainment at our meetings. We’ve recently experienced musical bingo … presentations about medic dogs and St John’s First Aid… salsa dancing… and of course, crafting sessions. Our extra-curricular outings often include visits to the theatre, coffee mornings and luncheons. We ‘Pearls’ like to embrace new experiences too, exploring the likes of Crich Tram Museum in Derbyshire, Morton Hall Tulip Festival, the Pen Museum in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon. We also take part in the Christmas Tree Festival at Worcester Cathedral, organise walks and hold a Christmas dinner and dance each year. Naturally, our members have excellent culinary skills too – priding ourselves on the high standard of cakes baked for WI and community events!

WHY JOIN US
Pearls of Wythall WI’s varied, interesting programme, all enjoyed in fun-loving company, is proven by our long membership retention! Do come and find out more. We’d love to meet you.

WHO WE ARE
Wythall WI, founded in 1934, currently has more than 40 members whose ages range over four decades. Our large, afternoon group has earned a reputation for being friendly, relaxed and inclusive.

WHAT WE LOVE
Join Wythall WI, just south of Birmingham, and you’ll be able to enjoy fun and company at our monthly meetings, plus a host of other activities, outings and interests. Our meetings begin with business matters and community news, followed by a talk from a wide variety of interesting speakers. Recent topics have included visits to Africa, an inspirational ‘cake lady’, who works with injured soldiers at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, and a Caribbean Night where we tasted food from the region and played games… sometimes over-enthusiastically! Other entertainment, quizzes and comedy also feature frequently during our meetings, as of course does time for socialising, tea, coffee and cake. You can also choose to join our craft club, lunch club, or theatre trips. We recently celebrated our WI’s 90th birthday with a garden party, and Christmas dinner is an annual highlight. Twice a year we join group and county meetings, giving us the chance to meet other WIs and extend friendship.

WHY JOIN US
With convenient afternoon timing, a packed activity programme and supportive friends, Wythall WI offers enjoyment all year round. Do come along and meet us!
