WHO WE ARE

Whatever your image of the WI, it's probably not SPArkles. We are a diverse group of around 50 women of all ages, who enjoy socialising, addressing relevant issues, forming vibrant friendships and being inspired. We are Droitwich Spa-based and have been ‘SPArkling’ since 2012.​

WHAT WE LOVE

SPArkles WI is a progressive, kind and inclusive group with an emphasis on community. We foster an open-minded, friendly, safe and supportive environment that recognises individuals' strengths and experiences. As well as meeting face-to-face, we communicate through digital technology and social media. Our lively monthly meetings start with a cuppa and always involve laughter, inspiration and a little bit of education – such as learning how sign language helps babies communicate before they speak, and trying our hand at indoor laser shooting. You could also take part in any of our thriving sub-groups covering a wide range of interests, including a book club, ‘bucket’ club, craft and chat, film and theatre group, nattering needlers, a skittles team, photography club and a supper club. We’ve also enjoyed many types of dancing and movement over the years, trying out belly dancing, hoola-hooping, facial yoga and Tai Chi as well as clog and line-dancing. Most importantly, we actively consult our members on what’s important to them and make sure we include those topics in our annual programme. No subject is off limits! The desire to learn and grow is a fundamental aspect of being in SPArkles.​
